Staying Safe and Healthy at USENIX Conferences
USENIX is committed to providing as safe a meeting space as practicable. As COVID-19 continues to become endemic, USENIX thanks all event attendees for doing their best to safeguard fellow attendees and to respect each others’ personal safety choices in line with the USENIX Code of Conduct. To the extent possible, please abide by the lessons of the pandemic:
- Self-isolate if you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, including sending a substitute to the event in your place when possible;
- Use cough and sneeze etiquette (i.e., use and immediately dispose of tissues; or, if not possible, use the crook of your elbow);
- Practice thorough and frequent hand washing, especially before eating and after blowing one’s nose, coughing, or sneezing;
- Maintain personal space when interacting, and avoid shaking hands or hugging without asking for explicit permission;
- Bring a supply of face masks with strong filtering capabilities and rapid antigen test kits to use for your travel and at the event.
