Why should you stay in the headquarters hotel?

We encourage you to stay in the headquarters hotel and when making your reservation to identify yourself as a USENIX conference attendee.

It is by contracting sleeping rooms that we can significantly reduce hotel charges for meeting room rental. When the sleeping rooms are not utilized, we face significant financial penalties. As a result, these penalties ultimately force us to raise registration fees.

We recognize, however, that not everyone can afford to stay in the conference hotel. We always try to book venues that have some low-cost alternatives available near the conference.

With costs going higher and higher, USENIX is working very hard to negotiate the very best hotel rates and keep other conference expenses down in order to keep registration fees as low as possible. We appreciate your help in this endeavor.

The conference—and all activities unless otherwise noted—will be held at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara.

Shuttle
The Hyatt Regency Santa Clara does not provide complimentary shuttle service.

Rental Cars
Rental Car Shuttle: Terminal B passengers can to walk directly across Airport Drive at the crosswalks from baggage claim to reach the Rental Car Center. Passengers arriving at Terminal A may take any Airport blue shuttle bus to the Rental Car Center. Rental customers departing from Terminal A can take the marked Inter-terminal Shuttle (blue bus) from the Rental Car Center to Terminal A.

Transportation from San Francisco International Airport

Taxi
Taxis to and from San Francisco International Airport cost approximately $134 USD one way.

Note: Metered rates apply to all destinations. Destinations either 15 miles beyond the limits of the City and County of San Francisco or 15 miles beyond the boundaries of San Francisco International Airport are charged at 150% of the metered rate. A $2.00 exit surcharge is included in all San Francisco taxicab meter fares for rides originating from San Francisco International Airport. By sharing a ride, up to 5 persons can ride for the price of 1 person. Taxi drivers are required by airport regulations to accept fares to all Bay Area destinations.

Rental Cars
San Francisco International Airport's Rental Car Center allows travelers to pick up and drop off rental cars at one convenient, central location. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National and Thrifty car rental counters are located on the fourth floor of the SFO Rental Car Center.

To access the Rental Car Center from the airport terminals, take the AirTrain Blue Line. AirTrain, SFO's fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours every day and provides convenient and frequent service throughout SFO. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, terminal parking garages, the Rental Car Center and SFO's BART station.

Capitol Corridor

The Capitol Corridor, an intercity passenger train system, stretches from San Jose to Sacramento. You can get to the stations using local transit, or even connect from BART. The Hyatt Regency Santa Clara offers several parking options for our guests’ convenience:
